‘… as the general situation improves, we expect a simplification of our enhanced health and safety protocols, based on our ongoing monitoring of the pandemic,’ he stated. ‘The work we are carrying out in this direction with the authorities is already well advanced.’
He went on to add that he believes ‘cruises will soon be back to normal, with new protocols that will allow our guests to fully enjoy the experiences on board and ashore, with the return, for example, of free [non-bubble] excursions for guests.’
Zanetti also reported increased demand for cruises.
Full fleet back in service this summer
The LNG powered Costa Tuscany is due to embark March 5 on a weeklong itinerary and will operate Western Mediterranean cruises until late November.
After Costa Toscana, seven Costa ships will return to operation joining those already in service; the full 12-strong Costa fleet will be operational from summer.
