HONOLULU (KHON2) – Hawaiian Airlines is stepping up its hiring efforts ahead of a busy summer travel season with more than 400 vacancies.

For seasoned candidates on Maui, the airline offers a $ 2,000 sign-up bonus for most jobs.

“We strive to be the employer of choice,” said Robin Kobayashi, senior vice president of human resources at Hawaiian Airlines, in a statement on Monday. “We offer rewarding career opportunities as well as generous travel privileges. As companies recover from the pandemic, the need for skilled workers is increasing. It’s imperative to stay competitive and we hope our Maui position sign-up bonus generates a lot of interest. “

Most of the new positions are part-time and fall under airport operations, including guest services agents, ramp agents, operations managers and aircraft mechanics. These jobs are located in Honolulu, Maui, Hilo, Kona, Līhu’e and select cities on the west coast.

The company’s corporate headquarters in Honolulu has full-time positions including IT, marketing, human resources, and sales.
