COLLEGE PARK, MD — Maryland opened its exhibition season with a 113-46 victory over Frostburg State on Friday night at XFINITY Center. The Terps used a nice blend of returning players and newcomers to take control of the game. Eight terps scored in double-figures led by Emma Chardonwho scored 15.

• Chardon led the Terps with 15 points while grabbing five rebounds.
Shyanne Sellers netted 14 points and handed out two assists.
Gia Cooke Recorded 14 points, making 8-of-10 from the foul line to go with a team-best four assists.
Diamond Miller Registered 13 points and seven rebounds.
Bri McDaniel posted 12 points and topped the Terps with eight rebounds.
Lavender Briggs added 11 points and six rebounds.
Abby Meyers tallied 10 points making 4-of-5 from the floor.
• Briane Alexander notched 10 points, five rebounds and three assists.
Ava Sciolla and McDaniel led the Terps in steals with three.

Newcomers In Action

• Eight Terps made their first appearance in a Maryland uniform as Alexander, Briggs, Cooke, McDaniel, Meyers, Elisa Pinzan, Mila Reynolds and Ana Sciolla also suited in Terp colors for the first time.
