The latest getaway to be offered by the county includes a two-night stay at a bed and breakfast, beach, or campsite where you can volunteer part of your vacation time back to the community.

The council says activities like volunteering for turtle migrations, planting marine life or helping one of the museums are one of the ways to promote sustainable tourism.

“One of the things we’ve heard a lot is what can I do while I’m here? What can I show my children that is good for the environment or the area we come to?
