The resumption of Qatar Airways four-week flights to Atlanta on June 1 marks the full return of the airline’s pre-pandemic U.S. network, bringing the number of gateways to 12, two more than before Covid-19. The airline will also increase frequencies to Boston, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Seattle and offer its passengers more flexible travel options with more than 85 weekly flights to the US.

These expanded services provide improved connectivity to several of the airline’s global leisure destinations, including Cape Town, Maldives, Seychelles and Zanzibar, as well as other major traffic flows in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Qatar Airways Group’s CEO, HE Akbar al-Baker, said: “Despite the challenges of the pandemic, Qatar Airways has committed to its passengers and trading partners in the US to maintain uninterrupted flight operations while rebuilding its US network and two new destinations to start – San Francisco and Seattle.
