Scholarships Supplied For Hospitality & Tourism College students

Regional hospitality and tourism workers receive a scholarship opportunity.

The Livingston County Convention & Visitors Bureau has announced that its annual Hospitality Star Scholarship will continue to invest in training tourism professionals in the Brighton-Howell area. The LCCVB awards two grants of $ 1,500. one to a current student at Cleary University Hospitality and the other to a high school graduate in Livingston County pursuing a degree in hospitality, outdoor recreation, marketing, or any other related major. Applicants must meet certain criteria and are selected by the LCCVB’s Education Committee.

Pam McConeghy, LCCVB board chairman, believes that investing in local students is investing in the community. “More than ever, there is a need to help those who have chosen the hospitality and tourism industries and provide them with the support and tools they need to be successful. The industry has one through COVID-19 suffered a severe blow, but will do so. ” is recovering, and its success will translate into economic benefit for our community and throughout the state of Michigan. ”

The recipients will be honored at the LCCVB’s annual partner meeting on March 3rd, which will take place via Zoom. The deadline for entries is February 22nd.
