The Beckville Ladycats volleyball team – the team ranked 2nd in Class 2A – finished their first half of the game in District 20-2A with clean sweeps, crowned by a 25-15, 25-13, 25-10 win on their last Friday visit to Shelbyville .
Avery Morris had 16 kills, five digs and a pair of aces and Kinsley Rivers double-doubled with 15 kills and 10 digs to take the lead.
Setter Sophie Elliott dealt 45 assists, had four digs and three aces, Amber Harris had eight kills and eight digs, MJ Liles had five kills and three digs, Laney Jones had eight digs, while Karissa McDowell had five digs in victory.
With the win, Beckville improved his overall record to 35-3 and 5-0 in the District game.
The ladycats visit San Augustine on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
