Auro hotels announced on January 12 that Jen Stilwell had joined the organization as Vice President of Marketing.

She has over 25 years of advertising and marketing experience, including 10 years at Visit GreenvilleSC (VGSC), the City of Greenville’s official destination marketing organization, where she served as Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President/Chief Strategic Officer.


While at VGSC, Stilwell directed and introduced a new brand identity for the city, “yeahTHATgreenville”. The winning brand campaign was cited as best in class Tourism marketing example and recipient of 67 awards, twice winning the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) Platinum Adrian Award. After the new branding, Greenville welcomed 5.5 million visitors a year and the economic success of pre-Covid tourism grew to a nearly $1.4 billion industry in 2019.

Stilwell’s experience also includes tourism branding marketing for accounts like that South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism during her time at Leslie Advertising and the Bounce agency. She also worked at New York advertising agency Warren/Kremer with brands such as NYCVB, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, La Cabana in Aruba and Club Med.

Stilwell is a graduate of the Rollins College.
