Both Southwest and Alaska Airlines launched flight deals on Tuesday that will be valid towards the end of the year. The tickets for both sales start at only $ 39 one way. Of course the situation is with that Covid-19 pandemic is extremely fluid. And while many people across the country have been considering their first trips in months to reunite with friends and family, circumstances can change quickly. Fortunately, the carriers recognize this and have expanded that flexible change and cancellation conditions in place since the beginning of the pandemic. Tickets booked as part of a flight offer can be changed and canceled free of charge. However, be sure to check all of them before booking Quarantine requirements or other restrictions that apply in your potential destination.

Southwest on sale runs through June 25th at 11:59 p.m. CT and is valid for travel August 11th through December 17th. Flight deals available include a non-stop flight from Houston to New Orleans from US $ 39 one way. Book a nonstop flight from Burbank, California to recently reopened Las Vegas also for $ 39 one way. Flights between Baltimore and Jacksonville, Florida start at $ 79, while routes between Houston and Fort Lauderdale start at just $ 99.

With Alaska’s Flash SaleTravelers valid for travel between September 8th and November 18th can book a one-way flight from San Francisco or Los Angeles to Las Vegas for just $ 39. Routes from San Francisco to Austin Start at $ 79, while transcontinental flights – like LAX to Washington, DC or Seattle to Charleston, South Carolina – cost just $ 99 one-way. Outside Portland, Oregon, $ 39 is available for Seattle and $ 69 for San Diego. But anyone interested in these deals needs to act quickly: Alaska’s sale only lasts until 11:59 p.m. PT on June 24th.

In addition to their flexible ticket policies, both airlines have implemented strict policies new security and cleaning schemes on board their aircraft. The southwest blocks the middle seats through October, and Alaska does so through at least August. Aircraft in both fleets are frequently sprayed with disinfectant using electrostatic sprayers, and food and beverage service has been restricted on most flights to reduce possible transmission between passengers and crew. And both airlines strictly adhere to their mandatory rules for face masks on board: Any plane who refuses to wear face covering could be banned from flying with both carriers in the future.
