TreeHotel in Sweden

the TreeHotel in Sweden is one of the most unique and interesting hotels in the world. They’re much more than tree houses – they’re infinitely more interesting. They each have seven rooms in the trees – their UFO room, the bird’s nest, the micro-cube, the 7th room, the dragonfly, the hut, the blue cone.

It is not possible to go through all of these rooms here, but each was designed by different architects. For example, the confusing UFO was purposely designed to be the most unexpected thing one can find in the Nordic forests. A UFO that hovers between the trees where you can spend the night without being kidnapped or experimented.

The room is made of high-strength composite material and the interior space is inspired by a starry sky in the ceiling. As it hangs in the trees, you can even feel the movement of the UFO.

  • Beds: One double bed and three single beds
  • Capacity: Five people (2 adults, the three single beds are small and better suited for children)

Recognitions

Another super weird themed accommodation in Sweden is staying in an old 747 jumbo jet at Stockholm Airport that has been converted into a hostel. Northern Sweden has its famous ice hotels, where you can stay in a hotel made of ice.

Another honorable mention is one of the famous salt pans in Bolivia, where you can stay in a luxury salt hotel – yes, the hotel is made of salt and it is forbidden to lick the walls. If you miss corn down in New Zealand, sleep in their silos at SiloStay that have become hotels.
