Star Legend, the second ship in Windstar Cruises’ $ 250 million Star Plus initiative, resumes service in Lisbon today.
With Star Legend, five of Windstar’s six yachts now carry passengers.
The ship will call at on a 10-day voyage to Barcelona Portimão, Cádiz (overnight), Gibraltar, Malaga (overnight), Cartagena and Palma de Mallorca.
The newly expanded, revised, and updated Star Legend was delivered by the Fincantieri shipyard in Palermo on May 21st. New suites and expanded outdoor and indoor public spaces, including two new restaurants, have been added along with more efficient motors and generators, as well as a new advanced wastewater treatment system. The capacity increased from 212 to 312 passengers.
This follows the expansion of Star Breeze, completed last year, which started passenger traffic in June. The conversion from Star Pride will complete the project.
