Worldwide there has been a slowdown recently due to the emergence of the COVID-19 variants and we are witnessing it that along with everyone else. But the fact remains – we continue to welcome visitors on every incoming flight, “said Secretary Grant.

Before the pandemic St. Kitts and Nevis enjoyed a burgeoning tourism industry that drew various populations to the islands. The Federation is a hotspot for yachtsmen looking for a haven with state-of-the-art docks that can accommodate superyachts of up to 100 people 106m. In addition, the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association was recognized St. Kitts and Nevis as a marquee destination after attracting a million passengers for two consecutive years.

Minister Grant emphasized: “Cruise was a great success for us. We hit the one million passenger mark in 2018, and in 2019 we were on the right track to reach this milestone again in 2020, before COVID-19 set in.
