FRUITPORT–Senior Night was a rousing success for the Fruitport Calvary Christian boys basketball team on Thursday night. The Eagles cruised to a 72-33 victory over visiting Holland Black River.
Early in the second quarter, Calvary owned a 31-4 lead and never looked back in the Alliance League contest.
“Our coaches are pleased with how our team performed on a senior night,” Calvary head coach Brad Richards said. “It’s good to be playing your best basketball as you head into March.”
Bradley Richards posted a double-double with 24 points and 16 rebounds. Jacob May added 18 points and five assists. Kendon Sutherland also reached double figures with 10 points.
Fruitport Calvary Christian climbs to 14-5 and 4-3 in conference play. The Eagles will travel to Hart on Thursday, March 2 to conclude the regular season.
