BOONVILLE, Mon. (KMIZ)

The Cooper County Public Health Center plans to vaccinate a total of 2,000 Missouri residents Monday and Tuesday.

In a Facebook postThe health center announced that it will host the vaccination clinic at the Isle of Capri Casino Hotel in the hotel’s ballroom.

Whoever wanted to get a vaccine had to find out about the Missouri COVID-19 Vaccine Navigator.

The clinic will be on site with the Missouri National Guard on both days from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Those who will be vaccinated will be instructed to park in the back parking lot where Boonville Police will direct traffic. After parking, official escorts will take vaccine patients to the hotel entrance to confirm registration.

Once the registration is confirmed, a nurse will help the patient on a chair to get vaccinated.

After the patient has been vaccinated, there is a 15-minute post-shot observation period with paramedics and appointments for a second shot are automatically made.

The Cooper County Public Health Center requests that patients wear a mask and a short-sleeved or loose-fitting shirt.

The Cooper County Public Health Center says it has dispensed over 3,000 vaccines in the past six weeks.
