Paris, June 9th (EFE). – France reopened its borders to tourists on Wednesday, embarking on a new phase of easing the lockdown, including allowing restaurants and cafes to serve customers indoors.

France will now welcome fully vaccinated foreign visitors without having to show a negative Covid-19 test if they come from another EU country or one of the Green List countries: Australia, South Korea, Israel, Japan, Lebanon, New Zealand and Singapore.

Other unvaccinated travelers from the same countries must have a negative Covid-19 test up to 72 hours before departure.

Visitors from Red List countries are still not allowed to enter, while visitors from Orange countries require a negative test result up to 48 hours before departure.

The new easing of restrictions will also increase capacity in commercial and cultural facilities such as museums, cinemas, music festivals, sporting events and concert halls to 65%, with a maximum of 5,000 visitors.

In order to avoid another wave of infections, at events with more than 1,000 people, assistants are required to provide a Covid certificate.

The curfew has been postponed to 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. so that restaurants and cultural institutions can extend their opening hours. EFE
