The Toronto Raptors started the NBA season 2021/22 well with a 5-3 record. What makes this start even more impressive is that they are doing it without their all-star power striker Pascal Siakam.

The team receives great performance from rookie Scottie Barnes, who made a difference at both ends of the pitch while replacing Siakam. Fred VanVleet also played good basketball and OG Anunoby is breaking out before our eyes.

One player who hasn’t gotten into the fun too much is Goran Dragic. Dragic was acquired by Miami Heat in the off-season as part of the sign-and-trade deal that landed Kyle Lowry in South Beach. His introduction to his new team was rocky as he made some derogatory remarks about the team.

He’d apologize for what he said, but fans probably think the same of him. He didn’t play well early in the season as he started the first game before moving to the second unit. He spent three games there before being taken out of rotation entirely.

Toronto have lost 4-0 since Dragic was moved down the depth map and it’s hard to imagine he’ll get back into rotation anytime soon. His original wish to land with a new team could come true sooner or later.

The Toronto Raptors will hold out, hoping a team will pull out and act for them instead of having to work out a buyout. If actually traded, here are some of the best and worst landing spots for the Slovenian veteran.
