In order to develop Morni as a tourist destination on a par with Shimla, various activities such as paragliding and off-road trekking are organized for a week.

On Sunday, the Haryana Assembly spokesman and local MLA Gian Chand Gupta reported a bike rally from the parade ground in Sector 5 to Morni. The event was organized by the Shivalik Development Board.

Panchkula Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal, as well as other senior leaders and members of the Shivalik Development Board, were also present.

Gupta said Morni is being developed as a tourist center. Paragliding, off-road trekking and other adventurous activities are stepped up at the mountain station and turned into a tourist spot in the countryside.

“In order to make Morni a tourist spot on par with Shimla, various events such as camping, off-road rally, cycling race, mountain bike tours, road walks and visits to herbal vatika will be organized this week,” he added.

Apart from that, paragliding will be available to visitors with the help of the Border Security Force. The drop-off point is in Pinjore.

Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal said: “The Morni Hills attract many tourists from the neighboring region. Even during Covid-19, the number of visitors did not decrease. “
