John Wall is known for being one of the fastest players in the league. He used his speed to get past players and land on the edge with ease. By now he was also an explosive jumper and had many acrobatic finishes. Wall was known to be an excellent passer and he overcut 10 assists per game from 2014 to 2017.

He was slightly taller than the average point guard, which helped on the defensive end. Even if his number of shots was not outstanding, he was always dangerous from the three-point line. In addition, he gradually improved throughout his career.

However, Wall is very injury-prone as he hasn’t played more than 40 games in the last three years. In 2018, after an incident at home, he tore his Achilles tendon. He was then paused for 12 months. Upon returning, Wall was traded to the rockets in 2o20 in exchange for Russell Westbrook.

The Rockets had hoped Wall would serve as a mentor to young rookies as they continue to rebuild. But he wasn’t interested in being part of the rebuilding process as he was reaching the end of his heyday. He asked the Rockets for a trade and has not played this season.

John Wall has made it clear he no longer wants to play for the Rockets. Both sides have agreed that Wall will not play until they can find a trade for him. John Wall is still a good player and he has a few more years to go. He can definitely help teams like the Heat, Lakers and Clippers as they battle for the 2022 NBA Championship.
