IHG® Hotels & Resorts, one of the world’s leading hotel companies, announced the signing of the Hotel Indigo Minneapolis Northstar Downtown in Minneapolis, MN. The 17-story Hotel Indigo will feature 218 guest rooms, a neighborhood restaurant and bar, fitness center and business center. The hotel will be located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis, in close proximity to major business and leisure demand generators in the city.
The current location of the Hotel Indigo was opened in 1962 as an independent hotel called the Northstar Hotel. This hotel is part of the integrated, mixed-use Northstar Center complex, which also includes offices, retail outlets and a parking garage with 955 parking spaces. A transformative renovation of the Northstar Center, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is underway to modernize the office component and create a public area with Skyway-connected retail and dining options. When completed, the Northstar Center complex will include 220 residential units and approximately 500,000 square feet of office space.
