About the author and artist Leslie Lee
Whenever Leslie Lee traveled, she carried a notebook, a pen, and a tiny set of paints. These were her constant travel companions. After thirty years of writing, painting, and sketching while traveling, Lee has published her illustrated books in a series called Leslie’s Travel Companion. Now, encouraged to share with others, she has started publishing them.
The first book in the We Are the Land, Ireland series was published in 2019 with excellent reviews. It documents her study of Irish history and culture before and after her trip to Ireland in search of her origins in a wonderful romp over the Emerald Island with her sisters.
