It’s official that Brits will finally be able to travel overseas from May 17 after the government announced that international travel could resume.

Transport Secretary Grant Shapps announced that international travel can be safely opened in a few weeks.

He outlined stricter border control measures with a “green, amber and red” list to determine the restrictions at each location.

Green means people do not need to be quarantined on their return to England, while people are not allowed to travel leisurely to amber and red places.

There are 12 countries and territories on the “green list”.

The locations are Portugal, including the Azores and Madeira, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Brunei, Iceland, Faroe Islands, Gibraltar, Falkland Islands and Israel.

Here we take a look at some of the cheapest flights for these locations.

Prices vary depending on the time of year you book. However, less than £ 300 is estimated for the August period.

However, if you want to fly as soon as possible, a single ticket for the June trip might cost a little over £ 300.

The “green list” is checked every three weeks and it is important to check the travel restrictions on where you are going.

For example, Australia’s borders are still closed and it has been reported that they will not open until later in 2022.
