ARLINGTON, Texas – UTSA men’s tennis scored points on four of the five individual courts and scored a 4-1 win for the Roadrunners at UT Arlington on Saturday afternoon at the Arlington Tennis Center.

UTSA (4-2) dominated UT Arlington (1-3) in the singles and won four of the five places. The teams did not compete in doubles due to bad weather.

“Today was a very good win for us,” said UTSA head coach Sergey Avdeyev said. “Very proud of the way we had to come from behind to win the game. Our boys showed a lot of passion. Definitely a team effort in what was a very important win for us.”

Yuri is calculating (Hamburg, Germany) and Javier Gonzalez (San Fernando, Chile) improved in singles to 4: 1 in singles with wins in first place and fourth place. Sebastian Rodriguez (Trujilo, Peru) scored a 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 victory in 2nd place and Javier Rodriguez (Trujillo, Peru) won in 6th place with 4: 6, 6: 4, 6: 0.

The Roadrunners will be back in action on Sunday at 9 a.m. in SMU (7-6) in the SMU Tennis Complex.
