Commonwealth Hotels announced that Mark Aftanski has joined the team as Vice President of Operations where he will oversee and lead a group of diverse assets to achieve hotel performance, guest satisfaction, employee engagement and owners’ investment goals. He brings over 25 years of brand and multi-unit experience to his new role. Aftanski was most recently Chief Operating Officer at ChrisBro Hospitality.
As Vice President of Operations, Aftanski will support and guide all hotels with an emphasis on increasing sales, customer service and increasing profitability. Prior to ChrisBro Hospitality, he was Vice President of Operations at White Lodging, where he was responsible for market-leading suburban and urban real estate for the Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Starwood and IHG brands. Mark has had a strong history with a focus on results. Mark is a graduate of Seton Hall University.
Cristian Teusan – Area Director of Operations
September 27, 2021 – Commonwealth Hotels announced that Cristian Teusan has been named Area Director of Operations. Teusan will provide operational and sales management support to the respective regions. With more than 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Cristian was most recently General Manager at Embassy Suites Akron Canton, where he received the General Manager of the Year Award, the Hilton Connie Pride Award 2017 & 2018 and the Conrad in 2019. received Hilton Award 2019.
