Amazon’s ambitious foray into the realms of MMO has given players a colossal new world to explore as the highly anticipated game sees its full release. Happily, New world has two different fast travel options and we will explain both in detail below, along with the costs, pros and cons of fast travel through Aeturnum.
How to Travel Fast in the New World
You can travel quickly in the New Worldbut it’s not free. Here’s what you need to quickly travel to a city or settlement:
- You have to be in a settlement area to be able to travel elsewhere quickly.
- You must have visited the target settlement at least once before.
- You will need enough Azoth Pay for the ride (unless you are traveling to quickly a house that is yours).
Azoth is one of the major New World currencies and is used for many things, but one of the main uses is to pay for quick travel around the world of Aeternum. The Azoth cost of a fast trip depends on the distance between the two points and your load level, which is based on the weight of all objects on you.
You can get discounts on fast travel depending on your faction and company, but you cannot get flat rate reductions by upgrading or increasing yours Attributes.
For quick travel, just open the map, zoom out until you can see the entire settlement icon, then click on it and select the fast travel option on the right. It’s a really great tool to get around whether you are looking for something Hemp plants or try to complete quests as quickly as possible to get the Maximum level possible. So call Inn back
You can also travel fast for free when you check into one of the many New World inns. Once you’ve checked in at an inn, you can travel straight back to it by clicking on the inn’s icon on the map.
The advantage of this Inn-based fast travel is that you can activate it from anywhere instead of having to be in one of the large settlements. Another big plus is that it’s completely free. The downside is that once you’ve remembered, you won’t be able to remember for an hour.
And that’s all you can travel fast in the New World. It’s by far the fastest way to get around Aeturnum, which is good as there is an incredible amount to discover whether you are on an adventure trip, camping, and hunting monsters; or just looking for the best Fishing hotspots.
