COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – As thousands of people lose electricity, heat, and water, many Brazos County residents are turning to the hospitality industry for refuge.

Hotels across Brazos County have been regularly booked out since the winter storm we experienced.

Greg Stafford is general manager of the Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center and president of the Brazos Valley Hospitality Association. He says that while challenging at times, he is happy that the hotel industry can help meet the needs of the community.

“It was a challenge because of course it’s very difficult to deliver groceries, deliver laundry and honestly just bring our own people here, it’s a challenge and only deal with the conditions we are dealing with,” said Stafford. “But it was an honor to serve people.”
