Norwegian Cruise Line’s has revealed they will be returning to Africa after a successful inaugural season in the region.

Norwegian Jade sailed the first NCL Africa season and now Norwegian Dawn will be joining the party, with both ships exploring the region between January and March 2024. The majority of itineraries have a strong focus on wildlife spotting, with NCL giving guests the best possible chance of spotting the ‘big five’, lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants and buffalo.

For an example of what your sailing could look like, this Africa: South Africa & Madagascar will take you for 12-days from Port Louis, Mauritius to the rainforest meets reef destination of Point des Galets. After this you’ll have featured two overnight stays in Richards Bay and Cape Town, two stops in Mozambique and more.

There are also two 12-day Cape Town round trips with two stops in the wildlife-rich Namibia, as well as South African highlights like Mossel Bay, Durban and Richards Bay. Guests will get the chance to spot wildlife at one of South Africa’s biggest game reserves Addo Elephant Park, learn about local culture at Dumazulu Cultural Village and indulge in premium wine and cheese along the famous Garden Route farms.
