The patrol is led by Honolulu Police Officer Stephanie Virardi, who holds hands with seven-year-old Alice, who joined the patrol with her grandmother Veneeta Acson (not pictured). Although Acson lives in Manoa, she cares deeply about the Waikiki area and wrote the book Waikiki: Nine Walks Through Time.
