New hotels are debuting at the Sandals Resorts in Jamaica

Sandals Resorts International (SRI) is adding three hotels to its range Jamaica portfolio. Two all-inclusive resorts that Sandals acquired last year are facing a complete makeover: the River Beach Resort & Spa by Jewel Dunn and the Jewel Runaway Bay Beach Resort & Waterpark. The company also picked up a new beachfront property in Ocho Rios, resulting in the development of three different experiences under the Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts brands.

“Sandals Dunn’s River holds a special place in our family as its story is the history of Jamaica’s development as a travel powerhouse,” said Adam Stewart, Executive Chairman of SRI. “My father grew up on the beach in Ocho Rios and this hotel, the first of its kind when it was built in the 1950s, captured the glamor of the era and stimulated the imagination. When it became available we took the chance to bring the hotel back up to the sandal fold. ”

Sandals Dunn’s River is undergoing top-down renovations, while the new adjoining oceanfront property promises a modern and luxurious retreat. Guests have privileges between the two all-inclusive Barbados hotels, which adds to their dining and amenities.

The Beaches Runaway Bay Resort, halfway between Ocho Rios and Montego Bay, is currently undergoing extensive renovation. The result will be one, two, three and four bedroom suites specially designed for family travel. Guests here also have access to the championship course at Runaway Bay Golf Club.
