Rashid led the Blue Devils with 134 rushing yards in 27 carries, while Senior Trey Traeder took three catches for 42 yards. The Lodi defense now limited the Cougars to a total of 178 yards, 33 of which to 3 out of 10 passes through the air.

Lodi will face Beloit Turner next week as it appears to be unbeaten this year.

Phoenix mistreated by tigers

Montello / Princeton / Green Lake continued their early season battles and suffered a 62-6 loss to Black River Falls that did not take place at the conference.

The Phoenix allowed 429 yards of total insult and six points, including 255 through the air, to fall to 0-2 for the season. Evan Voss did everything for the Tigers by accumulating 349 yards, including passing 255 yards and two points on a 13-of-20 passing.

BRF scored early and often, taking over a 20-6 lead after the first quarter and scoring three more goals before half-time to take a comfortable 41-6 lead during the break. It immediately made a running clock out of break and far too large a deficit for MPGL to dig from.

Voss, who added 94 yards of rushing and two more points with just six transfers, was linked to five different receivers. Mike Roou was his ultimate target as he took five catches for 106 yards and both TDs through the air.

The phoenix’s statistics were not immediately available. MPGL will try to recover next week as it is home to Kewaunee.
