Teachers at Rajasthan’s Barmer are making an extra effort by bringing the “schools” to students’ doorsteps to ensure their education does not suffer during the pandemic.

With the ongoing second wave of the novel coronavirus, schools across India are closed. While online classes are the new way of teaching, there are many students who are unable to make use of them due to a lack of resources. In a similar case, Rajasthan’s Barmer teachers are making extra efforts on behalf of students by bringing “schools” to their doorsteps so they don’t suffer from the pandemic.

Teachers travel on camels to the homes of students in desert areas where they do not have access to cellular networks. According to the timetable, these teachers drive to the students’ homes in the Barmer district three times a day.

“Of the 75 lakh students, many do not have a mobile phone. Therefore, the state government has decided that teachers go to their home once a week for grades 1-8 and twice a week for grades 9-12, ”Director of Rajasthan Education Department, Saurav Swami, told ANI.

The school administrators praise the efforts of these teachers.

Bhimthal Government Higher Senior School Director Room Singh Jakhar said, “Some teachers work really hard to ensure that students get notes on time and regularly. Some of them are Muknaram Dhaka, Biharilal Dhaka, and Birmaram Bana. We have selected 100 students. “To reach.”
