The Syracuse women’s basketball team won their sixth straight game at the Carrier Dome on Saturday, beating UMBC, 82-50, easily.

Syracuse outperformed its opponents by an average of 30.5 points per game during its winning streak.

Orange started the game with a 12-0 run and led by 26:10 at the end of the first quarter.

All five starters from Syracuse scored double-digit points. Chrislyn Carr had a team high of 18 points. Christianna Carr had 17 points and eight rebounds. Alaina Rice added three points and 10 rebounds, eight of them on the offensive.

The Orange had 23 assists in 31 baskets made. Teisha Hyman led the team with seven assists.

Syracuse (8-4) improved to 8-1 in the Carrier Dome this season. UMBC (1-9) have lost nine games in a row.

Orange will play its last game without a conference against Siena on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Carrier Dome.
