It’s Black Friday, which means the travel savings are officially here. You’ll find sales from a number of hotels, cruise lines, trains, and airlines—including some Readers’ Choice Award winners—below. Some of the sales last well into December, if you don’t have your 2022 travel calendar quite planned out just yet, and others apply to the next two months of travel, perfect for last-minute holiday trips and giving the gift of travel. Whether you’re booking for now or later, there are plenty of deals to be had, from domestic hotels to far-off cruise itineraries. Celebrity Cruises
Looking to sail on one of the most high-tech ships out there? Look to the Celebrity Apex, the latest mega-ship to hit the seas. The ship, along with the rest of Celebrity cruise ships, are offering major discounts on sailing between December 18 and March 31, 2023—the largest booking window we’ve seen. If you book by November 30, you’ll get 50 percent off your second guest’s fare, along with up to $300 on-board credit, depending on the length of your cruise. Good for sailings in the Caribbean and Europe, you’ll have plenty to chose from, though we’d check out the Apex and book a 12-night tour of Iceland and Ireland next summer.
Hurtigruten Expeditions
Hurtigruten has doubled down on its commitment to sustainability in recent years, launching two hybrid-powered ships (the MS Roald Amundsen and MS Fridtjof Nansen). Itineraries on both of those ships, along with all of the line’s expedition cruises, are up to 50 percent off for Black Friday—and the cruise line has dropped its deposit down to 10 percent during the sale. A sailing that circumnavigates Svalbard on a search for polar bears is just $8,527 (about 30 percent off), while a nine-day wellness repositioning cruise from Nova Scotia to Panama is just $960 per person (50 percent off).

Seabourn recently won Readers’ Choice Awards for both medium and small ships—and select sailings through next summer are now on sale. You can score up to $1,000 off per person on Seabourn’s Veranda and Ocean View suites and up to $1,000 in shipboard credit per suite. The sale runs through November 30. There are tons of great itineraries on sale, including a cruise around the Greek isles and an itinerary that takes you through the Panama Canal with stops in Colombia and Costa Rica.
Uniworld Boutique River Cruises
We’re a fan of Uniworld’s excursions, which offer passengers the opportunity to get a little closer to the destinations on their itinerary, with visits to local homes, farms, and artisans. Luckily, you can experience them for yourself and score savings of up to $5,000 per person on select 2022 voyages, if you pay in full at the time of booking. The sale is good through November 30, and includes a ton incredible itineraries, like a 13-day trip from New Delhi to Kolkata (now just $4,999 per person) and an 11-day round-trip adventure through the Peruvian Amazon (on sale for $10,499 per person).
Virgin Voyages
One of the newest lines to hit the market—and the brainchild of Sir Richard Branson—Virgin Voyages is offering 20 percent off cabins on both its ships: the Scarlet Lady, which sails the Caribbean, and the Valiant Lady, which launches in the spring and will circle the Mediterranean. That drops Sea Terrace cabins down to $1,520 on the Scarlet Lady, and $1,400 on the Valiant Lady. Plus if you purchase a $300 bar tab, you’ll get a $100 bar tab bonus. The deal runs through November 29, and applies to sailings through March 27 on the Scarlet Lady and from March 18 to May 22 on the Valiant Lady.

A tour company that caters to 18- to 35-year-olds, Contiki is offering up to 30 percent off on more than half of its group travel itineraries. With trips to six of the seven continents, you’ve got a lot to choose from, including weekend excursions, month-long adventures, and two-week vacations in destinations like Zimbabwe, Malaysia, and Croatia. And if you’re worried about going it alone on one of the tours, know that about 70 percent of Contiki travelers are embarking solo.

Eurail Pass
Looking to bounce around Europe next year? The Eurail Pass just made it easier (and cheaper) with its Black Friday sale. The Global Pass—which allows travelers to explore 33 European countries, from Turkey to Italy to Finland—is now 10 percent off. As Traveler contributor Blane Bachelor explains in our guide to using the pass, you book the Global Pass based on how many days within a certain window you’ll be traveling—and on those days you can take as many trains as you’d like. The passes start at four days within one month (originally $288, now $259), while the most popular pass which covers 10 travel days over two months (originally $469, now $422). The sale extends long past Black Friday (until January 3), making it a great holiday present for the 2022 graduates or remote workers in your life.

The Hong Kong–based, Gold List–winning carrier is offering its best sale of the year, with economy class tickets to Jakarta, Taipei, and Seoul, among other destinations, as low as $728 round-trip. While doling out $700 doesn’t seem like too much of a deal, these flights can usually run upwards of $1,300. Book by November 29 to get in on the sale, which is valid for flights between January 1 and May 23, and then again between August 15 and October 29, meaning you can plan well into 2022. Even in Cathay Pacific’s economy class, you’ll be treated to spacious legroom, an 11.6-inch high-definition touchscreen for in-flight entertainment, and thoughtful touches like a shelf for your cell phone. Shell out a little more for premium economy to Ho Chi Minh City and Phuket, which offers wide seats, full-length calf rests, an upgraded in-flight menu, priority boarding, and more. Prices are about what you’d pay for an economy seat on other airlines.
Emirates
Get flights from the U.S. to Europe, Africa, and the Middle East for as low as $599 round-trip thanks to Emirates’ Black Friday sale. Round-trip flights from the East Coast to Milan start at that low $599 price and round-trip flights to Dubai are $719, while West Coast travelers can get to Cairo for just $679 round-trip. JetBlue Vacations
This is more than just your average JetBlue sale: this Black Friday discount applies to JetBlue’s packaged vacations, which can help you save on bundles of flights, hotels, and even cruises. When you spend more, you save more in the Black Friday sale: you’ll save $50 when you spend more than $500, $150 when you spend more than $1,000, $500 when you spend more than $3,000, and $750 when you spend $6,000. You’ll find the promo codes for all of those savings on JetBlue Vacation’s dedicated Black Friday site. You’ll need to book between now and November 30 to get in on the sale, which applies to travel between December 8 and October 15.

Looking for a luxe vacation at a discount? A number of Accor’s collection of luxury and boutique hotel brands—like Fairmont and 21c Museum Hotel—are offering up to 30 percent off winter hotel stays. (Accor Live Limitless members get an additional 10 percent off; sign up is free.) The sale, which applies to stays through March 31 when booked by November 29, includes discounts at hotels like Canada’s Fairmont Chateau Whistler, the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club in Bermuda, and the 21c Museum Hotel, Cincinnati.
Alaia Belize, Autograph Collection, Belize
The Alaia Belize, an Autograph Collection hotel that opened in May 2021, is offering 20 percent off all rooms during the week of Thanksgiving. The deal is good for stays between December 1-22 and January 3-31 (when temperature highs are still in the 80s). Be sure to visit the dive shop to plan snorkeling and scuba diving excursions (including a number of PADI certification sessions); the Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System is just a few hundred yards offshore.

Back in fall 2019, we called out Cape Fahn, a private island off of Thailand’s popular Koh Samui, as one of the hottest openings of the season. The resort, with its relaxing lanais and three saltwater pools, has weathered the pandemic and is welcoming guests back, now that Thailand has reopened its borders. To celebrate, the resort is offering a “Welcome Back” deal, which includes a 50 percent discount on the best available rate, daily breakfast, and complimentary access to non-motorized water sports. A Hot List winner in 2021, the Cielo Lodge is a stunning open-air sanctuary set among 380 acres of Costa Rican rainforest. Perfect for a honeymoon or romantic getaway, the resort is offering 30 percent discounts on stays of three nights or more in its Canopy Suites. Use promo code “CIELOTHIRTY” now through December 31 for stays between January 7 and April 30. Be sure to contact the hotel to book one of their many planned, local-led experiences, which include whale and dolphin watching tours, private surfing lessons, and guided hikes at a nearby national park.
CitizenM hotels
This deal kicked off on November 16, but it’s worth planning around because all of CitizenM’s hotel rooms will be up to 30 percent off during its extended Black Friday sale. (If you sign up for CitizenM’s membership or use the app, you’ll get an even higher discount, up to 33 percent off.) The deal runs through November 30 and applies to travel between November 18 and April 30. Known for petite (like 150-square-foot) but well-designed rooms and bustling public spaces, CitizenM has hotels across the globe, notably in city centers where boutique hotels can cost a pretty penny. Book rooms at their newest hotels (the Downtown Los Angeles and San Francisco Union Square locations) or one of the tried and true spots in Glasgow, Scotland, or Taipei.

A destination in itself worth planning a side-trip from Dublin around, Dromoland Castle is offering 50 percent off a second night when booking a one-night stay in select rooms. The deal runs through November 29, and also includes a $28 spa credit per person. Good for stays between Sundays and Thursdays from December 1 to March 31 (with blackout dates around the holidays).
Hyatt hotels
Hyatt fans can get holiday savings with a 10 to 15 percent discount on stays at more than 850 hotels in the Hyatt universe, including Andaz and Thompson hotels, among others. Just look for the “Lock in savings. Unlock the possibilities” deal on each hotel’s offers page. The deal applies to stays between November 10 and April 30. If you want even more of a discount, register for the World of Hyatt loyalty program if you’re not already and book at a participating hotel by December 21. Trying to decide which hotel to book? The Bahamas’ beachfront Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, the Andaz Mayakoba Resort Riviera Maya in Mexico, and the Thompson Dallas, a 2021 Hot List–winner, are all offering 15 percent off stays.
Kimpton hotels
Kimpton is joining the Cyber Week fray, offering 25 percent off stays at select hotels between November 26 and April 30. The sale, which runs through December 6, includes properties like the Kimpton Vividora in Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter; Ella’s Cottages, Kimpton’s set of 22 private bungalows in Key West; Austin’s Hotel Van Zandt; and the design-centric Kimpton Da An in Taipei. Plus, with every booking, Kimpton will donate $5 per night to No Kid Hungry, a nonprofit working to end child hunger in the U.S.
Marriott hotels
On November 23, Marriott Bonvoy Escapes launched its largest Cyber Week sale yet, with 20 percent off select stays at more than 5,000 hotels across five continents. (Want to save even more? Sign up for Marriott Bonvoy, the company’s loyalty program, and you’ll save up to 25 percent.) The sale is especially great for travelers who haven’t booked end-of-year trips—or are looking to gift a stay to a friend. The discount is good for stays through January 17, booked by November 29—so you’ll need to act fast.

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts
Rosewood’s Black Friday deal is split into two categories: Urban hotels are up to 50 percent off, while resorts are up to 30 percent off. The sale, which runs through November 30, applies to stays booked between now and June 30—just use promo code “CYBER21” at checkout. Wondering what hotel to book? We’d snag a few nights at the recently renovated Rosewood Little Dix Bay in the British Virgin Islands or plan a weekend jaunt to London to stay at the Rosewood London.
Viceroy hotels
A bunch of hotels in the Viceroy family (think Sugar Beach in St. Lucia, the Viceroy Santa Monica, and San Francisco’s Hotel Zetta) are offering up to 35 percent off. Valid through December 6 at noon EST, the deal varies hotel to hotel, with some offering discounts on stays through December 2022, while others limit dates between May and October. Visit each hotel’s sale site, listed here, to get all of the details. (Some even have extra perks, like 30 percent off food and beverage at the Viceroy Chicago, on top of discounted rooms.)

Bode, Tennessee
Traveling with a group to Nashville or Chattanooga? Look to Bode, which offers apartment-style accommodations with hotel-level amenities—think of it as smack between a hotel and a vacation rental. Through November 29, the brand is offering 25 percent off stays of two nights or more at its Chattanooga and Nashville properties. Good for travel between November 26 and February 28, the deal includes some of its larger room types, which usually don’t go on sale.

Gurney’s Resorts
From November 15 to November 22, all three Gurney’s resorts along the East Coast are offering mega-savings on stays throughout 2022. At the original Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa, you can get 30 percent off rooms, 40 percent off suites, and 50 percent off cottages; at Gurney’s Newport Resort & Marina, you’ll find similar discounts of 30 percent off rooms and 40 percent off suites. But if we were to pick a must-book, it would be the latest addition to the collection: Gurney’s Star Island Resort & Marina, where rooms are now 30 percent off. Opened in summer 2019 and located just six miles away from the Montauk property, it is more pared down than its neighbor, but features a lakefront beach and three remarkable restaurants worth booking in for.
Hutton Hotel, Nashville
One of our favorite places to stay in Music City, the Hutton Hotel is offering 25 percent off stays of two nights or more between December 1 and March 31. Use the code “CHEERS” to get in on the deal, which lasts through December 1, and be sure to check out the hotel’s music club, Analog, during your stay. It has hosted acts like Maren Morris and Allen Stone, among others—you never know who’s going to show up at the songwriters’ nights.

After a delightfully colorful, boho-chic update in spring 2021, Kaimana Beach Hotel opened its revamped doors—and is now offering a 25 percent discount so you can check it our for yourself. You may not have heard of the parent company Makeready, but you’ve surely heard of the boutique hotels it operates, which include the Emeline in Charleston, The Adolphus in Dallas, Nashville’s Noelle, The Alida in Savannah, and the Halcyon in Denver’s Cherry Creek. Stays between January 1 and March 31 at all of the aforementioned hotels are up to 20 percent off (or 22 percent off if you’re booking a suite). Book between November 26 and November 29 on each hotel’s website to get in on the deal.

Filling an impressive Victorian castle set on a private lake in New York’s Hudson Valley, the Mohonk Mountain House is one of our readers’ favorites, winning five years of Readers’ Choice Awards in a row. While The Nines is under the Marriott umbrella, it’s offering a deal uniquely its own—and one with major savings. Book a Superior King or Queen/Queen guest room for just $199 per night (more than 30% off) or ball out on the 1,536-square-foot Meier & Frank Presidential Suite, which is more than 50 percent off, at just $1,999 per night. One of our favorite hotels in Portland, Oregon, it’s worth a stay even without the discount, but you can get in on the sale between Black Friday and Cyber Monday and apply it to stays between December 1 and March 31.

Public—whose Instagram-friendly escalators have been popping up on social media feeds since the day it opened—is offering 20 percent off its best available rates plus a whole slew of other perks, including a $30 daily credit for its restaurants and bars, priority reservations at those same spots, and guaranteed admission to the rooftop. The deal applies to stays between January 2 and March 30, and must be booked by November 30.

Virgin Voyages isn’t the only Branson joint offering a Black Friday promo. The group’s five hotels (in Chicago, Dallas, Nashville, New Orleans, and Las Vegas) are also offering a discount that extends well beyond Cyber Week. Travelers can save up to 25 percent on the best available rate for stays between November 26, 2021, and December 31, 2022—plus, two lucky travelers who book the deal will be upgraded to a penthouse each week. The deal lasts through the end of 2022, too, so you’ll have plenty of chance to cash in. Use promos code “CyberMonth” or head to Virgin’s dedicated sale site to book.

Clear, the expedited security service that uses biometrics like fingerprints and eye scans to help you move seamlessly through crowded airports, stadiums, and more, is offering a Black Friday discount worth checking out. On Black Friday, you can sign up for a full year of Clear for just $129 (down from the usual $179). Register online and you can finish setting up your account on your flight home from Thanksgiving or flight to Christmas vacation, if you’re flying through a Clear-supported airport.
