Senior guard Caitlin Schwarz made three 3-pointers on the way to a game-high 22 points to lead 11th-seeded Pingry to a one-sided victory at home over 14-seed Bernards, 64-19, in the first round of the Somerset Conference Tournament.

Fellow senior guard Allison Williams, freshman guard Taylor Francis and sophomore forward Ngozi Nnaeto finished with eight points apiece for Pingry, which bounced back from losing each of its previous two games at the hands of Immaculata and Warren Hills.

Bella Goodwin chipped in six points for Pingry (9-12), which will go on the road to face sixth-seeded Hillsborough in the second round on Saturday night.

Pingry has won each of its last five games against Hillsborough, though the teams haven’t met since Feb. 2018.

Sydney Incarnato made four free throws and tallied a team-high eight points for Bernards, which falls to 6-13 with the loss.
