A former stockbroker was sentenced to 21 months in prison for assaulting two cruise passengers during a nightly buffet on the ship. MailOnline reported.

Paul Evans, 45, and his wife, Tabatha Young, 43, got enraged after another family aboard the Royal Britannia ship demanded P&O that the couple stop swearing in front of their children while they ate, it said Report.

This sparked an altercation in which Evans attacked the wife’s husband and another passenger as part of a “brutal attack,” the report said.

Evans, who was reportedly drunk, hit and kicked the men like he was taking “a punishment” Reported underground.

Young, a YouTube personality who interviews boxers, was also involved in the violence, the report said.

The ship traveled from Bergen in Norway to Southampton, UK on July 26, 2019. A spokesman for P&O Cruises told the Metro: “We will not tolerate any disruptive behavior on board our ships.”

Evans, of Clayhill, Essex, has been charged with assault on two counts. He told the court he was acting in self-defense, but a Southampton Crown Court judge said there was “no need for a defense force,” reports said.

Young pleaded guilty to actual assault and cried when she was sentenced to nine months in prison. MailOnline reported. She was ordered to do 180 hours of community service.

Detective Constable Lisa Robins told Metro, “Nobody should have to tolerate inappropriate or abusive language or behavior.”

“A few drinks do not excuse criminal behavior in any setting,” she added.
