The successful lifestyle brand AC Hotels by Marriott has entered a new market in the Caribbean with the opening of a stylish, 129-key hotel operated by Highgate.

This new hotel combines design inspiration from the culture and history of the Dominican Republic with upscale amenities that appeal to both leisure and business travelers.

Business and leisure

AC Hotel by Marriott Punta Cana welcomes its guests in its 129 guest rooms, which are complemented by multifunctional public areas, in one of the most popular travel destinations in the Caribbean. The program, created in collaboration with the EGI Business Group investment group, is operated by Highgate.

“The first AC Hotel in the Dominican Republic with a perfect location offers visitors elegant and functional rooms, modern rooms and a refined dining experience,” said Jeff Tomczek, Vice President and Global Brand Leader of Distinctive Select Brands. “We have created the ideal environment to become a benchmark for hospitality in Punta Cana and across the country, enabling discerning travelers to live a design life with everything they need and nothing . ”

Locally inspired design

The interiors of the project are inspired by the culture and history of the Dominican Republic as well as the Caribbean environment and incorporate local ceramics, ornaments and handicrafts. And the brand’s signature rooms – including the Spanish-inspired AC Kitchen, the AC Lounge with tapas plates of expertly prepared cocktails, and the serene AC Library – are also there and correct.

Enjoy food, drinks, and entertainment on the outdoor deck, which features an infinity pool with a children’s area, cabanas, and lounge seating. There is also over 700 square feet of flexible meeting space, plus two smaller meeting rooms and an outdoor lawn.

The AC Hotel by Marriott Punta Cana, which focuses on so-called bleisure travelers, is only 15 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport.
