The technology-based solution enables Celebrity headquarters staff to follow the verification process in real time and ensure that each captain and crew confirms compliance with the health and safety protocols of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the local ports.

On any Celebrity cruise, passenger boarding does not begin until the ship has received “Health Safety” from its executive committee. Once this is done, handheld devices will notify passengers that their ship has been re-verified and is ready to board.

“This notification and re-examination between each cruise is intended to give travelers the assurance that all requirements have been met and confirmed by Celebrity employees,” said a press release.

“We were very impressed with how comprehensive the Sharecare Health Security VERIFIED system is and how easy it is for our employees to use,” said Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, President and CEO of Celebrity Cruises. “When the Celebrity fleet comes back into service, Sharecare will help review our strict ‘Healthy At Sea’ protocols so our guests can simply relax and enjoy their vacation.”
