Bay Area Celebrates National Travel & Tourism Week
Vaccination rates have risen, restrictions have fallen, and the Bay Area is rolling out the red carpet for tourists. FOX 13’s Justin Matthews has the story.
TAMPA, Fla. – – Visit Tampa Bay and Visit St. Pete / Clearwater partner with the US Travel Association to celebrate the “Power of Travel” for National Travel and Tourism Week.
The organizations say it is important to remember companies in the travel and tourism industry after a difficult year. However, there is optimism as the economy is recovering quickly.
“I’m very confident that spring has been amazing for everyone in the hospitality industry. And now summer is getting even better because people want out, want to enjoy the weather, want to travel with their families and they want to be outside,” said Mark Ferguson, the owner of Ferg’s Sports Bar in St. Petersburg.
