Dezeen Promotion: The aluminum chains from Kriskadecor offer a quick, easy and hygienic way to change the interiors of Hotels ready to greet guests back.
With the reopening of travel and tourism after the Covid-19 pandemic, hotels and restaurants are trying to adapt to new spatial regulations and refresh their appearance.
Kriskadecor, an international company specializing in aluminum chain design solutions, gives designers the ability to subdivide spaces, direct pedestrian traffic and liven up common areas.

Surfaces made from the chains can be used as partitions, ceilings, wall cladding, interior and exterior cladding, lighting elements, and more.
The transparency of the links allows spatial separation while maintaining a visual connection between areas on either side of a curtain, whether they are configured in straight lines or custom wave patterns.
“We are able to separate without dividing, that is, create sub-spaces that do not break through the field of vision but retain the feeling of spaciousness, allow light and air to flow freely, and facilitate ventilation and air renewal,” said Kriskadecor.

The light properties of the material make it possible to hang chains in long “waterfalls” that fall through high lobby areas or stairwells or over entire facades.
Customers can choose from a wide range of colors, as well as fixed or mobile hanging systems that are easy to install and do not require specialized personnel.
Images, patterns or signage elements can be reproduced across chain surfaces using Kriskadecor’s proprietary technology and provide a tool for visual branding.

The chains can be cleaned with water and detergent and then sprayed with a water and alcohol solution for safe disinfection.
“Using materials that are easy to clean and maintain is and will remain a trend for years to come,” the company said. “Our simple and effective cleaning protocols guarantee perfect disinfection while maintaining the original surfaces.”
Chains and assembly profiles are made from 99 percent aluminum and chain links are made from 20 percent recycled material.
