You are entering the website for The Williamsburg Hotel in Brooklyn by clicking on the line “Do you want to sleep with a local?”. It’s very on the nose when it comes to selling the sexiness of it hotel. It’s not a lie either.

That being said, there are a million sexy hotels to stay at New York City, with varying degrees of comfort and luxury. And staying outside of Manhattan is certainly a choice that sacrifices some accessibility. But if you are looking for a hotel that is a little secluded and at the same time has one of the best views of the city, you will be amazed to find this gem. Plus, it’s across the street from one of the best Handmade beer Spots in the five districts (more on that later).

It’s all about The Williamsburg Hotel is the kind of place that feels like alive. It pulsates with energy; a goal in itself. Locals and travelers mingle each morning in the hallways, by the pool, and over avocado toast. It’s these social aspects (and yes, this sexiness) that led us to choose it as the first entry in our new “Hotels We Love” series.

WHY IT’S FANTASTIC:

The Williamsburg Hotel

The Williamsburg’s sex appeal goes beyond the beautiful people who populate the common areas. At the daytime rooftop parties (which become night parties) by the pool, DJs spin as the Manhattan skyline frames the entire scene. Then you have the bar scene in the lobby (also during the week), the safe sex packs in the minibar and the stylish overall atmosphere and stylish design.

Hanging out in the lobby bar after dinner is a fairly safe way to meet people. If you strike out there, your room card will give you access to the rooftop bar and its party scene. It’s not wild per se, but with the right crew it’ll be a hell of a party.

If you want more scene, you’re in Williamsburg. It’s not the heart of Brooklyn, but there’s plenty within walking distance if you want to grab a bite, hit the bar, or just grab a bodega sandwich (there’s a great little bodega with good sandwiches right across the street) . In addition, each block penetrates about 20 years of remaining cool kid energy.

OWN FOOD + DRINKS:

The Williamsburg Hotel

The lobby bar is connected to the main restaurant. I only ate breakfast there. It was good quality and the standards of the 2021 region – good Egg Benny, green avo toast, fresh farm eggs, etc. It was better than the Marriott, for example, but it didn’t change life and I ‘I probably would have Visited a diner or deli in town if I had to do it again. The cappuccino, however, was on point. Room service is quick and hot which is a nice touch.

The lobby and rooftop bars are very standard hotel bars with a decent cocktail menu, good local craft beer, and plenty of wine from all over the place. While the drinks are perfectly fine, you really only go to these bars to meet people, the drinks are of secondary importance.

The Williamsburg Hotel

The standard rooms are equipped with or without a small terrace, queen or king-size beds, flat screen TV and a bathroom with classic tiles and old-fashioned brass fittings. The shower is located between the bed and the bathroom in a glass winter garden, so that you can see the city skyline through the floor-to-ceiling windows from the shower.

There are also loft and skyline suites with a little more space, bathtubs right next to floor-to-ceiling windows with views of Manhattan or Brooklyn’s skyline, and showers big enough for two … or more.

THE BEST WITHIN 15 MINUTES ON FOOT:

The Brooklyn Brewery

It is easy. The Brooklyn Brewery Taproom is Kitty Corner on Wythe Ave and 11th. The taproom is usually open until 9 or 10pm, making it the perfect place to get a few dressed before heading back to The Williamsburg once the fun begins.

If you’re more into a dive bar scene, you’ll find 11th St one block down The Brooklyn whiskey. It’s a “whiskey” shop that’s more of a dive bar with a fantastic whiskey list and decent cocktails.

THE BEST TO DO / EAT / DRINK WITHIN A $ 20 CAB RIDE:

Katz Deli

In Williamsburg, getting to Midtown and the Village is actually faster and easier than getting to parts of Brooklyn. I would have asked From Fara Pizza here for pizza, but a good 45 to 60 minutes across Brooklyn to get there.

I’m sticking to the classic topic Katz delicatessen. A taxi or Uber ride is $ 20 and takes around 20 minutes without much traffic. Besides, it’s Katz. I’m not sure you can go to New York and not at least once. Order pastrami on rye with some mustard, get a Dr. Brown’s soda (cherry of course) and don’t sleep on the potato salad and knishes.

BED GAME:

The Williamsburg Hotel

This was a step up from a lovely Hilton, but a step below a Conrad. The beds were great, but the pillows were a little stiff. The number of threads on the sheets was average, but very comfortable on the skin. Overall, this was a nice sleeping experience, but not overly memorable.

Valuation: 8/10

SEXINESS RATING:

The Williamsburg Hotel

Any high-end hotel that has lube and condoms in the minibar knows what’s going on. You can also easily meet people on the roof terrace or in the lobby bar. However, I would recommend the rooftop bar as you have the entire Manhattan skyline as your backdrop.

Valuation: 10/10

THE VIEWS & PICTURES SPOTS:

The Williamsburg Hotel

I mean, you can see the photos in this article. We have mentioned the view of the Manhattan skyline around ten times. You understand it. It’s not a trait that stunts for the gram, but that’s almost always cheesy.

It definitely has a lot of cool angles, a super stylish design and lots of good lighting.

Valuation: 9/10

BEST SEASON TO VISIT:

The Williamsburg Hotel

Is there a bad time of year to visit New York? No. To really get the most out of the roof, you need to visit this place between April and September.

IF I HAVE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT ANYTHING:

The Williamsburg Hotel

This corner of Brooklyn is really great if all you want to do is spend your time in Williamsburg. The rest of Brooklyn feels further away than the Village, however. It feels weird that this hotel makes it easier to party in the Village than in Brooklyn – I’m sure if you live in BK you will get used to it.
