LIMA – Lima Christian had no answer for Savannah Dailey and Avoca-Prattsburgh on Wednesday night.

Dailey went 5 for 5 with two doubles and drove in four runs when Avoca-Prattsburgh moved into Section V softball playoffs with a big 24-0 road win over Lima Christian.

Riley Stowe took two triples in the win, while Annabella Putnam had it all. Putnam set up five innings and allowed zero runs on two hits while hitting 12.

Jordan Swift was active on the Base Paths and stole seven bases.

Riley Stowe is sure to score a triple in Avoca-Prattsburgh's playoff win against Lima Christian on Wednesday.

Avocado Prattsburgh improved to 6-6.

Lima Christian was led by Chloe Gilbert, who went 2-3. Abby Mincer threw four innings, allowed 14 runs on 13 hits and knocked out two.

Keshequa 17, South Seneca 1

NUNDA – Mackenzie Gillen, Alex Hugi and Catrina Pierce all went 3v4 and made eight runs when Keshequa opened his leg V playoff run with a 17-1 win over South Seneca on Wednesday.

Julia Wilkins was 2 for 2 with a triple, two walks and two runs. Libby Benner was 2 for 3 with a double, two walks and two runs. Aurora Sabins went 2 for 2 with two doubles and scored one run while Kelsey Davis was 1 for 2 with two walks and scored two runs.

Sabins won the pitching and went five innings while facing 17 hitters, with two strikeouts allowing a hit, walk, and run.

Northstar 10, Whitesville 5th

ROCHESTER – Northstar Christian visited Whitesville in the Section V playoffs on Wednesday May 10th.

Rachel Jackson went 3-for-4, with two runs scored and two RBIs from a double home run in the fourth inning for Whitesville (4-10). Jess Erdmann went 2 for 4 with two runs scored. Whitesville, losing pitcher, Zoey Lee had seven strikeouts and three walks for the Jays, undone by four mistakes, two walks and a hit in the sixth fourth inning by Northstar.

“We will lose Jessica Erdmann and Sarina Button through the conclusion, but should be strong again next year,” said trainer Tammy Ellison. “I had a great group of girls to work with and they made it a fun season.”

Kendra Pinckney from Avoca-Prattsburgh reached second base with a steal in the playoff win against Lima Christian on Wednesday.

No. 2 Batavia ND 7, No. 7 Fillmore 4

BATAVIA – # 7 Fillmore took a 2-0 lead in the first inning and had a surprise from Batavia Notre Dame # 2 on his mind, but the hosts responded with the next six runs and got away with a 7-4 win the Eagles Wednesday in Section V playoff action.

Preslee Miller went 1 to 2 with a double home run in the first inning for Fillmore (7-6). Sadie Wolcott added a pinch hit single from RBI in sixth place. Torann Wolfer Kirstin Frazier Kada Frazier and Emily Krzeminski each had singles.

Batavia Notre Dame (14-2) pitcher Loretta Sorochty and Marisha Tuchelowski combined for 18 strikeouts and two walks.

“We made a pretty good shot and thought we gave a very good team a hard shot,” said Fillmore coach Jon Beardsley. “Your pitchers mess up a lot and it was hard for us to be comfortable. A few too many strikeouts and a few undeserved runs, but a good team will let you do that. I am very proud of the team. They have grown a lot this year and I hope all returnees have realized that they are a pretty solid group. Our two seniors at Harley Miller and Kirstin Frazier deserve a lot of credit for having kept us going up and down throughout the year. Their reliability and consistency were the perfect ingredients to carry us! ”

No. 4 Honeoye 14, No. 5 Alfred-Almond 3

HONEOYE – The No. 4 Honeoye Bulldogs defeated No. 5 Alfred-Almond with a 14-3 final on Wednesday evening in the first round of the Section V Class D1 softball tournament in Honeoye.

No. 5 Alfred-Almond closes the season with an overall score of 9-5.
