The three-time Pro Bowl quarterback has made his intentions clear that he won’t play another snap with that Texans after only four seasons with the team. Watson has already won several trade candidates interested in getting him away from Houston, but which one will he end up with? Hopefully not the Chicago Bears, says the famous ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith.
Deshaun Watson wants out of Houston
According to sources, Texan QB Deshaun Watson met with new Texan head coach David Culley last Friday. At that meeting, Watson reiterated that he would like to be traded and told Culley he had no intention of playing for the Texans again. No change from Watson’s end. He remains buried.

It was a tough calendar year for the Texans. They finished the 2020 NFL season in third place in their division 4-12. Then they had to do without JJ Watt after he requested his release last week. Now it looks like they’ll have to say goodbye to their franchise QB too.
Deshaun Watson officially asked the Texans for a deal shortly after the season ended. He remained steadfast in this demand as well. The QB met with Houston’s new head coach David Culley last week and reiterated the stance that he will not be returning to the team.
The Texans are now forced into a difficult corner. You can call Watson’s bluff and keep it until training camp, or you can sell it to the highest bidder this off-season.
The bears have emerged as a potential trading destination for Watson, but Stephen A. Smith says he should stay away from Chicago.

On Thursday issue of First flap On ESPN, Smith used his airtime to warn Watson not to go to the bears.
“If you’re Deshaun Watson, you can’t think of not going to a fucking Chicago. Don’t even think about it! “Smith exclaimed passionately. “It has a no-trade clause. He has a say in where the hell you would go. It’s fucking cold in Chicago to go there. Are you crazy? You can’t be Deshaun Watson and go to the Windy City. What’s wrong with you? “
Smith went on to speak directly to Watson and clarify his point. Let’s hope he watched.
“I happen to know that Deshaun Watson is watching me on First Take,” continued Smith. “He’s watching me in Stephen A.’s World. He sees what I’m doing. Listen, Deshaun Watson. Don’t think about going to Chicago. “
As for the options Watson should consider, Smith believes the Miami Dolphins would be the best target for the Star QB.
Max Kellerman disagrees with Stephen A. Smith about the bears
As is customary with First Take every morning, co-host Max Kellerman took a contrary view on Smith’s Bears Take. Kellerman said Watson would improve his career résumé significantly by winning a Super Bowl in Chicago.
“I think the bears are actually the best long-term plan,” Kellerman said Thursday. “The Chicago Bears and this fan base are as rabid as any soccer fan base in the world.
