The Heritage Lady Generals’ march towards what will hopefully be another run to the Class AAAA Final Four began on Wednesday night with a 25-10, 25-6, 25-10 win over Riverdale, considered the No. 3 seed from Region 5.

Lauren Francis scored a dozen kills and served three aces. Aaliyah Rodgers had seven kills and Abbey Blevins had five kills. Annasten Sterl collected five aces and three digs, while Zoe Ha collected five aces before the end with five digs.

Third-placed Heritage (28-14) will travel to Fayetteville, about 40 miles south of Atlanta, on Saturday for a marquee match-up with runner-up Fayette County (32-5), the Region 1 champion.

The winner will face either Shaw or Jefferson in Elite Eight on October 27th.
